"Kebbi Pilgrims' Welfare: Gov. Nasir Provides Food, Transportation Support"
The Kebbi State government, led by Governor Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, has taken a significant step to enhance the welfare of pilgrims from the state performing the Hajj in Saudi Arabia. The Governor has approved an initiative to upgrade the quantity and quality of meals provided to the pilgrims in Makkah. Additionally, he has provided buses to facilitate their transportation to holy sites in Madinah and Makkah.
According to Alhaji Faruku Musa Yaro, Executive Chairman of the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, this development will greatly benefit the pilgrims. Speaking at an APC stakeholders' meeting in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday, Alhaji Faruku expressed appreciation for the Governor's gesture. "The Governor's decision to improve the pilgrims' welfare will significantly ease their experience during the Hajj," he said.
Alhaji Faruku highlighted that the level of support and facilities provided by the Governor is unprecedented and unparalleled in other Nigerian states. "This kind of support is not commonly extended to pilgrims from other states, and we are grateful for the Governor's commitment to our pilgrims' welfare," he added.
The Executive Chairman urged other politicians and stakeholders to follow the Governor's example by supporting the pilgrims through the Agency or their representatives. He also encouraged the pilgrims to offer prayers for the country's leaders and the nation. "We appeal to other leaders to emulate the Governor's gesture, and we pray that our pilgrims will offer prayers for the country's leaders and the nation as a whole," he said.
