"Bauchi Group Slams Ex-EFCC Staff over Malicious Allegations Against Retired AIG"

A civic group, Bauchi People's Advocate for Good Governance, has strongly condemned allegations made by Abdullahi Ishaq Jibrin, a former Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) staff member, against retired Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Ahmed Abdulrahman.

In a statement signed by its spokesperson, Aliyu Musa, the group described Jibrin's claims as "baseless," "malicious," and "fabricated," aimed at tarnishing AIG Abdulrahman's reputation as a respected Islamic scholar, retired law enforcement leader, and philanthropist.

"The allegations are a desperate attempt to besmirch AIG Abdulrahman's distinguished reputation," Musa said. "Jibrin's claims are ludicrous and cooked-up narratives that the people of Bauchi would reject."

The group debunked Jibrin's claim of working with AIG Abdulrahman for 17-20 years, stating that records confirm his employment lasted only two years. During this period, Jibrin benefited excessively from AIG's mentorship and financial support, the group added.

The Bauchi People's Advocate for Good Governance revealed that Jibrin was dismissed from the EFCC for extorting money and a car from victims of financial crimes. An EFCC in-house investigation initiated by AIG Abdulrahman himself exposed Jibrin's corruption, leading to his dismissal.

The group challenged Jibrin to publicly substantiate his lies by producing evidence to support his claims. "We demand that Jibrin produce his appointment letter, FBI training certificates, witnesses, and documents to corroborate his allegations," Musa said. "Until Jibrin provides credible evidence, his allegations would remain reckless fiction."

The group announced that it has initiated legal proceedings against Jibrin for criminal defamation, fraudulent misrepresentation, and attempted extortion. "We will pursue justice relentlessly until Jibrin's malicious campaign is buried," Musa warned.

The Bauchi People's Advocate for Good Governance reaffirmed AIG Abdulrahman's legacy of integrity, community service, and Islamic scholarship, saying it remains unshaken despite Jibrin's malicious campaign. The group assured that AIG Abdulrahman's reputation would continue to shine, despite Jibrin's attempts to tarnish it.

The group urged the media and public to ignore Jibrin's falsehoods, describing his actions as reeking of envy, greed, and a pathological need for relevance. "We call on all Nigerians, particularly the good people of Bauchi, to reject the lies of a disgraced fraudster," Musa said.
