"Kebbi State Govt Addresses Neglect Allegations in Jega LGA, Touts Development Projects"

The Kebbi State Government has responded to allegations made by Iman Bashir Jega, who claimed that the government had not executed any developmental projects in Jega Local Government Area. In a viral video, Iman Bashir Jega questioned the government's allocation of funds and the state of development in the area.

However, Special Adviser to the Governor on Religious Affairs, Engr. Hon Imran Ibn Usman, has countered these allegations, highlighting the numerous developmental projects executed by the present administration of Governor Nasir Idris in Jega Local Government Area.

"The present administration of Governor Nasir Idris has done a lot of developmental projects in Jega Local Government Area," Engr. Hon Imran Ibn Usman said in an interview with Series News Online. "First, let me start with the achievements brought under my ministry of Religious Affairs, to Jega people. Three Central mosques of the two groups of Izala and that of Dariqa were renovated and rehabilitated and equipped with Solar powered panels for stability of electricity supply."

Engr. Hon Imran Ibn Usman also highlighted various educational projects executed in the area. He noted that Professor Attahiru Muhammadu Jega Primary School underwent reconstruction of its perimeter fence, renovation of 6 classrooms, and supply of furniture. Similarly, Ni’ima Primary School, Jega, saw the construction of 2 classrooms, office, and store, construction of a block of 3 cells of toilets, and drilling of 1 motorized borehole.

Other primary schools that benefited from the government's projects include Birnin Yari Primary School, Jega, which underwent renovation of 3 classrooms and construction of 9 cells of WC toilets; Marina Primary School, Jega, which was renovated; Oke Primary School, Jega, which underwent renovation of 6 classrooms and construction of drainage flood control; and Bakin Gulbi Primary School, Gindi, which was renovated.

Additionally, Tungar Buzaye Primary School, Jega, underwent renovation of 5 classrooms, office, and store; Gindi Primary School, Gindi, was renovated; Dunbegu Primary School, Dumbegu, underwent renovation of 2 classrooms and drilling of 1 motorized borehole; and Dangamaji Primary School, Dangamaji, saw the construction of 4 classrooms and establishment of Junior Secondary School.

Birnin Madi Primary School, Birnin Madi, and Birnin Malam Primary School, Birimary School, also underwent renovation of 2 classrooms each.

In the secondary school sector, Haliru Abdu Arabic Secondary School, Jega, underwent renovation of 3 classrooms and received 76 units of furniture. Government Day Secondary School, Jega, underwent renovation of 6 classrooms and received 389 units of furniture.

Government Day Secondary School, Oke, Jega, saw the construction of 9 classrooms, renovation of 13 classrooms, construction of 24 cells of toilet, and received 345 units of furniture. Girls Arabic Junior Secondary School, Jega, underwent construction of 3 classrooms, office, and toilets, and construction of 3 cells of WC toilets.

Other secondary schools that benefited from the government's projects include Government Day Secondary School, Dumbegu, which underwent construction of 3 classrooms, renovation of 5 classrooms, construction of wall fence, drilling of 1 motorized borehole, and received 150 units of furniture; Government Day Secondary School, Basaura, which underwent renovation of 10 classrooms, construction of wall fence, drilling of 1 motorized borehole, and received 400 units of furniture.

Government Day Secondary School, Jandutsi, underwent renovation of 19 classrooms, construction of 3 houses, construction of 10 cells of toilets, drilling of 1 motorized borehole, and received 500 units of furniture. Government Day Secondary School, Gehuru, underwent renovation of 3 classrooms, construction of 8 cells of toilets, drilling of 2 motorized boreholes, construction of wall fence, and received 280 units of furniture.

Government Day Secondary School, Kimba, underwent renovation of 7 classrooms, construction of 8 cells of toilets, construction of 1 motorized borehole, construction of wall fence, and received 232 units of furniture. Government Day Secondary School, Agwada, underwent renovation of 3 classrooms, construction of 8 cells of toilets, drilling of 1 motorized borehole, construction of wall fence, and received 232 units of furniture.

Lastly, Government Day Secondary School, Alelu, underwent renovation of 7 classrooms, construction of 6 cells of toilets, drilling of 1 motorized borehole, construction of wall fence, and received 234 units of furniture.
