"Kano Pilgrims Board Emphasizes Importance of Responsible Behaviour During Hajj"

The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi'u Danbappa, has urged intending pilgrims from the state to make careful and responsible use of the facilities provided to them in Saudi Arabia. He made this appeal during a supervisory visit to various Hajj Induction Course Centres across the state.

According to a statement signed by the Public Relations officer of the Board, Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi, Alhaji Lamin Rabi'u emphasized the importance of maintaining proper environmental sanitation in and around the facilities. The Board has already provided a two-storey building capable of accommodating 3,205 pilgrims.

Representing the Director General during the visit, Board Member Sheikh Tijjani Sani Maihula, called on all intending pilgrims to fully participate in the Hajj Induction Course to ensure they gain the knowledge needed to perform Hajj successfully.

Another Board Member, Hajiya Aisha Munir Matawalle, highlighted the efforts of the Kano State Government under the leadership of Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf. "The government has already provided essential items for the intending pilgrims, including hand luggage, uniforms for both men and women, and identification rings, all of which will be distributed soon," she said.

Hajiya Aisha Matawalle further advised the pilgrims to remember Kano State and Nigeria in their prayers while in the Holy Land. "We urge you to always remember Kano State and Nigeria in your prayers while in the Holy Land," she said.

The Director of Propagation, Education, and Enlightenment, Alhaji Murtala Lawan Sani, warned the pilgrims against carrying contraband or prohibited items to the Holy Land. "Anyone found in possession of such items will bear full responsibility for the consequences," he stressed.

Alhaji Murtala Lawan Sani also thanked the Director General for organizing the induction tour, which has served to educate and enlighten the intending pilgrims. The Hajj Induction Course Centres visited during the tour included those in Rimin Gado, Kumbotso, and Dala local government areas.
