"Armed Robbery Foiled: Kebbi Police Neutralize Suspect, Recover Arms"

The Kebbi State Police Command has recorded another significant success in its efforts to rid the state of banditry and other heinous crimes. On April 19, 2025, at about 0200hrs, a gang of four armed hoodlums barricaded Marina road, Kamba District of Dandi LGA, with the intention to rob commuters.

According to reports, the Divisional Police Officer, Kamba, immediately mobilized a combined team of Policemen and hunters to the scene, engaging the suspects in a gun duel. As a result, one yet to be identified armed robber was successfully neutralized, and one Bareta pistol with three rounds of live ammunition were recovered at the scene. Several others escaped into the forest with fatal gunshot wounds.

The Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, CP Bello M Sani, commended the bravery and professionalism displayed by the DPO Kamba, his men, and hunters. "The Command's sustained onslaught against banditry and other heinous crimes in the State will continue," he said.

CP Bello M Sani also commended the efforts of members of the public for reporting the incident promptly. "We urge the good people of Kebbi State to always be vigilant and continue to report any suspicious movement to the nearest Police station for swift response," he said.

The combined team of security personnel is aggressively combing the nearby forest and all the identified bandit's routes in the area to arrest the fleeing perpetrators and recover more dead bodies and weapons.

As stated by CSP Nafiu Abubakar, Police Public Relations Officer, "The Kebbi State Police Command remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of lives and property in the state."
