Wunti Al-khair Foundation Donates Rice to 5,000 Needy Muslims in Bauchi

A Bauchi-based charity organization, Wunti Al-khair Foundation, has embarked on a large-scale Ramadan food distribution program, providing rice to 5,000 less privileged Muslim communities across the 20 local government areas of Bauchi State.

The initiative, which is being conducted in phases, started with beneficiaries from Katagum, Zaki, Gamawa, and Giade Local Government Areas. According to the Programme Manager of the foundation, Mr. Mustapha Ango, the initiative aims to support 250 beneficiaries in each local government area, carefully selected from vulnerable residents, persons with disabilities, and other needy groups.

"The effort is designed to bring much-needed relief to struggling families, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan," Ango explained. He emphasized that the foundation is committed to supporting the less privileged in Bauchi State.

Isiyaka Wunti, an official of the foundation, noted that in addition to the Ramadan food distribution, the Wunti Al-khair foundation engages in various other charitable activities, including free medical outreach programs and education scholarships for underprivileged members of society.

Beneficiaries of the program expressed heartfelt gratitude to the foundation. Auwalu Bala from Bununu in Tafawa Balewa Local Government said, "The assistance has brought immense joy to my family." Larai Haruna, another beneficiary, shared, "I had no rice to cook before receiving the donation."

The beneficiaries praised the Wunti Al-khair Foundation's selfless efforts, saying, "The foundation's efforts have brought smiles to many families in Bauchi State, embodying the true spirit of compassion and generosity that defines Ramadan."
