"Kebbi APC Passes Vote of Confidence on President Tinubu, Governor Idris"

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State has expressed absolute satisfaction with the performance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris in delivering dividends of democracy to the citizenry. This endorsement came after a meeting of all stakeholders of the party, who unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the two leaders.

According to Governor Nasir Idris, who is also the leader of the party in the state, "Unanimously, all participants at the forum reiterated support to President Tinubu and myself for continuity of our laudable work." He further stated that the party agreed to hold stakeholders' meetings every two to three months to assess the performance of the party and the government.

Governor Idris emphasized the importance of these meetings, saying, "This meeting is very important to us, it affords the party the opportunity to review its actions and activities as well as look inwards into the performance of the incumbent administration." He also noted that the overwhelming verdict by all participants at the meeting was to award a mark of excellence to the government at both state and federal levels.

In his remarks, Governor Idris rededicated himself to service delivery and the upliftment of the wellbeing of the people. "On my part as the Executive Governor, I am rededicating myself to service delivery and upliftment of the wellbeing of the people," he said.

Prior to the meeting, the APC announced the suspension of Alhaji Kabir Sani Giant, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Power and Politics, with immediate effect. According to a statement signed by Alhaji Sa'idu Muhammad Kimba, the State Secretary of the Party, Giant's suspension was due to his conduct, which was deemed likely to embarrass, bring into disrepute, and ridicule the party.

The statement specified that Giant's suspension was a result of an incident on February 8, 2025, where he came to the Government House with a snake, intimidating important dignitaries, statesmen, and government officials. This action was considered offensive, embarrassing, and a ridicule to the party, contrary to Article 21 (2) (ii) of the Constitution of the APC.
