Yauri Set for Cultural Fiesta as Council Chairman Unveils Plans for 2025 Rigatta Festival

The Yauri Emirate in Kebbi State is gearing up to host the 2025 Rigatta Culture Festival, scheduled to take place from February 13 to 15. According to Hon Abubakar Shuaibu Kauran Yauri, Chairman of Yauri Local Government Council, the council is ready to host guests and has made necessary arrangements to ensure the festival's success.

He disclosed this shortly after the conclusion of the 2025 Rigatta press briefing by the Chairman, Main Committee of the festival, and the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, as his own contribution to the press briefing.

"As the Chairman of Yauri Local Government Council, I am honored to contribute to this press briefing delivered by the Chairman, Main Committee for the 2025 Rigata Culture Festival, alongside the Secretary to Kebbi State Government, Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida," Kauran Yauri stated. "The Yauri Emirate Council, a historic kingdom and traditional emirate in Kebbi State, is proud to be part of this cultural festival."

Kauran Yauri emphasized the significance of the festival, saying, "Our local government is committed to supporting the success of the 2025 Rigata Culture Festival. We believe that this event will not only showcase our rich cultural heritage but also promote unity and understanding among our people."

The festival, which is expected to attract visitors from within and outside the state, will feature various events, including riverine maneuvers, water sports, and entertainment. The event has been packaged to showcase the rich and diverse cultural heritage of the Yauri Emirate.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants, the local government has made adequate security arrangements. Kauran Yauri assured that the security team has been working closely with the state government and security agencies to provide a comprehensive security plan.

The 2025 Rigatta Culture Festival is expected to be a grand celebration, highlighting the vibrant cultural heritage of the Yauri Emirate. With the support of the Kebbi State Government, led by Governor Nasir Idris, and the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, the festival is poised to be a memorable and successful event.

While Yauri prepares to accommodate guests who are coming to witness the culture festival within and outside the state and beyond, Kauran Yauri emphasized that Yauri people are friendly and accommodating.
