NUJ National Council Set to Hold Central Working Committee Inaugural Meeting in Kebbi

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) is gearing up for its Central Working Committee inaugural meeting, scheduled to take place in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, from February 11 to 13, 2025. This meeting marks a significant milestone since the election of the current national President, Comrade Alhassan Yahaya Abdullahi, on November 27, 2024.

According to a statement signed by Comrade Bello Sarki Abubakar, Chairman, and Comrade Ismail Adebayo, Secretary of the NUJ Kebbi State Council, the meeting will be hosted by the Kebbi State Government under the leadership of Governor Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu. Participants from across the country will attend, led by the National President of the NUJ, Comrade Abdullahi.

During their visit, the NUJ president and his team will inspect various development projects executed by Governor Nasir Idris's administration. This meeting is expected to set the tone for the union's activities under the new leadership.

However, this inaugural meeting marks a new chapter for the union under Comrade Abdullahi's leadership.
