Kebbi State Governor Lays Foundation Stone for Federal College of Education, Technical, Yauri

In a groundbreaking ceremony, Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, laid the foundation stone for the construction of a 400-seating capacity lecture theatre at the Federal College of Education, Technical, Yauri. The college, which is the first Federal Government-owned tertiary institution in Yauri, is set to commence its maiden admission in June this year.

The Kebbi State Government has donated the Government Day Secondary School Tondi to serve as the permanent site of the college. Governor Nasir Idris expressed his gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for locating the institution in Kebbi, promising to provide the necessary support for the commencement of academic activities.

 "We are committed to supporting the growth and development of education in Kebbi State," said Governor Idris. "We believe that this institution will provide opportunities for our youth to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to compete in the global economy."

Isma'ila Ahmad Gadaka, Chairman of the Governing Board, praised Governor Idris for his efforts in improving the education sector in the state. "We are grateful for the governor's benevolence in donating the secondary school to serve as the permanent site of the FCE," he said.

Professor Sa'ad Umar, the acting Provost of the college, reaffirmed the institution's commitment to upholding the mandate of the Federal Ministry of Education. "We are dedicated to providing academic excellence in the management of the school," he said. "We believe that this institution will become a center of excellence in education and a source of pride for Kebbi State."
