Alhaji Aliyu Bandado, Special Adviser to the Kebbi State Governor on New Media, has successfully organized the Jigon Kabi Unity Football Competition, aimed at promoting unity among youths in Argungu Local Government Area. The competition, which was flagged off by the Chairman of Argungu Local Government Council, Hon. Sani Aliyu Gulma, brings together eleven political wards in a sporting event designed to foster unity, teamwork, and healthy competition.
According to Hon. Gulma, the competition is designed to ensure the unity of all youths in the area, in line with the state governor's advocacy for unity, peace, and tranquility among the people of the 21 local government areas. He emphasized that the competition would help to enhance youth football skills and promote peaceful coexistence among the youths.
The council chairman urged the participants to play safely and maintain peace and harmony throughout the competition. He announced that the local government council had donated jerseys, balls, and other football kits to support the competition.
In his remarks, Alhaji Aliyu Bandado stated that he organized the competition to unite the youths of Argungu, in line with Governor Nasir Idris's vision for unity and peace. He noted that the competition would be held in three segments, with the final round producing the first, second, and third-place winners.
The Jigon Kabi Unity Football Competition aims to promote unity among the youths in Argungu Local Government Area. The competition is designed to bring together young people from different wards, fostering a sense of community and harmony. By encouraging teamwork and healthy competition, the tournament seeks to build bridges among the participants and promote peaceful coexistence.

Bandado urged the participants to maintain peace and harmony throughout the competition, emphasizing that it was not a "do-or-die" affair. He congratulated all the teams and wished them success, adding that plans were underway for an inter-local government competition and eventually, an inter-state competition.
The opening match between Galadima and Gulma wards ended 2-1 in favor of Galadima. However, the Galadima ward goalkeeper was issued a red card by the center referee, Bashar Adamu, for insulting him and violating the rules of the game.
