The Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, has matriculated a total of 6,549 students for the 2024/2025 academic session. The students are spread across eight schools and 57 various programs in the polytechnic.

The matriculation ceremony, which marked the 32nd edition, was presided over by Prof. Salisu Ogbo Usman, the Rector of the polytechnic. This is the fifth matriculation ceremony under Prof. Ogbo's leadership.

During the ceremony, Prof. Ogbo announced the results of the Institutional Accreditation, Resource Inspection, and Programme Accreditation conducted by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) from December 18-20, 2024. The institution achieved a 100% success rate in all 27 programs presented.

Prof. Ogbo also highlighted the institution's achievements under his administration, including the introduction of 19 new programs, which account for 33.3% of all programs offered by the polytechnic. He noted that the institution has made significant strides in structural and academic development, with a focus on creating a conducive learning environment.

The Rector warned students against engaging in vices such as gun-running, examination malpractice, drug abuse, and indecent dressing, emphasizing that any breach of the polytechnic's rules would attract severe penalties, including expulsion and prosecution.
