Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has donated food items to 27,304 flood victims in Shanga Local Government Area. The donation, which took place at Dugu Mai Kasuwa Secondary School, aims to support those affected and alleviate the disaster's impact .
Governor Idris emphasized that the flood is an unavoidable act of God and reassured the victims of his administration's commitment to providing support. The Emir of Yauri, Dr. Muhammadu Zayyanu-Abdullahi, expressed gratitude to the governor for his consistent support to the affected communities in his Emirate.
State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) Chairman, Hon. Muhammad Bello Yakubu, commended the governor's dedication to promoting unity and supporting the flood victims.
This gesture follows recent flood-related initiatives in Kebbi State, including assessments by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in Shanga LGA .
He added that 300 bags of assorted Rice, Millets and Maize was donated to the victims.
