Kebbi State First Lady and Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) Coordinator, Hajiya Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris, emphasized the importance of home gardening for families during a meeting with the United Business Women Association of Nigeria and the Nigerian Association of Women in Agriculture at Government House, Birnin Kebbi.
Hajiya Zainab highlighted innovative home gardening practices as a reliable source of fresh produce and income generation. "I urge women to participate in home gardening," she said. Her own garden serves as a morale booster, promoting Nigeria's First Lady's "Every Home a Garden" advocacy.
A national competition will be held to select the best female gardener, with a ₦20 million star prize.
The associations' representatives, Hajiya Balkisu Karofi and Hajiya Lubabatu Attahiru, discussed their activities and partnership opportunities with the First Lady's office.
