Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has extended condolences to the Yauri Emirate and the family of Malam Usman Mai-Gadi, who tragically lost his life to a hippopotamus attack in Tillo village, Yauri Local Government Area.
Governor Idris urged the emirate and family to accept God's will, praying for the deceased's forgiveness and granting him Jannatul Firdaus. The victim was buried according to Islamic rites in Yauri, with Yauri Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Abubakar Shu'aibu, in attendance.
Notably, the Emir of Yauri, Dr. Muhammad Zayyanu-Abdullahi, had previously presented a live hippopotamus to Governor Nasir Idris as a symbol of appreciation for his support.
