The Chairman of Sokoto State Electoral Commission Aliyu Sulaiman on Monday declared the APC party as the winner of all the 23 local government elections held on Saturday.
The APC also won all the council seats in the election in which 15 parties participated, but the main opposition party, the PDP, abstained from participating in the election.
Shortly after the announcement of the results, the state election commission gave the elected local governments chairmen the certificate of return as winners of Saturday election.
