Birnin Kebbi, Nigeria – 3 June, 2026 (Series News Online)- Members of the Tinubu Support Organisation, TSO, have thrown their weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, for another term in office ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group made the declaration on Wednesday at a well-attended political gathering held at the Presidential Banquet Hall, Birnin Kebbi. The event drew party chieftains, government officials, TSO members, and grassroots supporters who pledged renewed loyalty to both leaders.
Addressing participants, the National President of the Tinubu Support Organisation, Aminu Suleiman, reflected on the group’s mobilisation efforts during the 2023 elections. He said the organisation was satisfied with the performance of the Tinubu administration and the developmental strides recorded under Governor Idris in Kebbi.
“The Tinubu Support Organisation will continue to stand firmly behind the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Aminu Suleiman said. “We are equally proud of Governor Nasir Idris, whose focus on human capital development, empowerment programmes, and infrastructure expansion has brought visible change to Kebbi State.”
Aminu Suleiman assured that TSO would intensify grassroots sensitisation and voter mobilisation to secure victory for President Tinubu and Governor Idris in 2027. He expressed optimism that the track record of both leaders would earn them another mandate.
The Kebbi State Coordinator of the Tinubu Support Organisation, Abubakar Habib Adam, also reaffirmed the group’s endorsement. He said TSO would remain committed to promoting policies that enhance citizens’ welfare and accelerate national growth.
“Our organisation will keep supporting initiatives that improve living standards and drive sustainable development across Nigeria,” Abubakar Habib Adam stated.
The Kebbi State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Alhaji Abubakar Kana Zuru, noted that the state had consistently aligned with President Tinubu and the APC-led government. He stressed that Kebbi had earlier declared support for the President’s second-term ambition and would maintain that stance.
“Kebbi State has already endorsed President Tinubu for a second term, and our people will remain steadfast in their support because of the numerous projects being delivered in the state,” Alhaji Abubakar Kana Zuru said.
Governor Nasir Idris, in his address, thanked Almighty Allah for the opportunity to witness another show of support for President Tinubu by Kebbi residents. He commended the organisers and recalled that Kebbi was the first state to publicly declare for Tinubu’s second term during a massive rally at Haliru Abdu Stadium, Birnin Kebbi.
Governor Idris linked the growing support for the President to visible Federal Government interventions in Kebbi. He mentioned the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway, which he said would bring substantial benefits to the state, alongside other road projects connecting communities within and outside Kebbi.
The Governor further pointed to ongoing infrastructural upgrades, the siting of federal institutions and agencies in the state, and job opportunities created for thousands of Kebbi youths through federal initiatives.
“Our backing for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is total and unwavering because the people of Kebbi are experiencing the dividends of democracy through the projects and programmes of his administration,” Governor Idris stated.
Governor Idris pledged the continued cooperation of the Kebbi State Government with the Tinubu Support Organisation to consolidate the achievements of the current federal administration.
The programme ended with a unanimous reaffirmation of support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris for a second term, followed by prayers for peace, progress, and prosperity in Kebbi State and Nigeria.
