Kaduna, Nigeria — May 3, 2026(Series News Online)-All Progressives Congress, APC, chieftain in Kaduna State, Sagir Auwal Maidoya, has urged party members to prioritize cohesion and internal discipline as preparations intensify for the 2027 general elections.

Maidoya, an APC presidential aspirant from Maiburuji Ward in Kaduna North Local Government Area, said a unified APC remains the most dependable vehicle for sustaining political stability and driving national development.

In a statement made available to journalists in Kaduna, he pledged allegiance to the party and announced his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda.

He described the APC as the principal anchor of Nigeria’s democratic process, adding that the Renewed Hope Agenda had provided focus and stability since the party took office in 2015.

“The APC is the foremost stabilizing force in Nigeria’s democratic journey. Its Renewed Hope Agenda has provided direction and resilience in governance since 2015,” Maidoya said.

He maintained that the party’s organs remained solid and its leadership committed to delivering effective governance to citizens.

According to him, the APC’s structures remain strong and its leadership focused on delivering good governance to Nigerians.

Maidoya, however, cautioned that electoral strength must be complemented by unity of purpose, insisting that discipline, cohesion, and mutual respect were essential to guarantee success in 2027.

He warned that opposition elements were attempting to exploit internal disagreements within the APC through ad-hoc alliances designed to mislead the public and stall the party’s progress.

“No coalition founded on convenience, desperation, or hunger for power can match the strength and credibility of a party rooted in ideology, service, and public trust,” he said.

The APC chieftain called on party leaders and members at all levels, from wards to the national secretariat, to intensify engagement with Nigerians and concentrate on producing concrete results.

Declaring his presidential aspiration, Maidoya said his interest was not motivated by personal ambition but by a genuine desire to advance the party and contribute to national growth.

“My goal is not driven by personal gain but by a sincere commitment to contribute to the party’s growth and the nation’s development,” he stated.

He pledged to collaborate with stakeholders to heal divisions, foster inclusivity, and mobilize the grassroots ahead of the 2027 elections.

“I will work collaboratively with stakeholders to bridge divides, promote inclusivity, and mobilize the grassroots base ahead of the 2027 polls,” Maidoya said.

He insisted that the journey to 2027 must be anchored on a common vision of “one party, one purpose, one Nigeria,” stressing that the same ethos propelled the APC to power and would keep it there.

“The road to 2027 should be defined by a shared vision of ‘one party, one purpose, one Nigeria.’ That is the same spirit that brought the APC to power and will sustain it,” he added.

Maidoya reaffirmed his resolve to commit time, energy, and resources to make the party stronger, more inclusive, and more successful.

“I am committed to investing time, energy, and resources to ensure the party grows stronger, more inclusive, and more successful,” he said.

He concluded that collective effort would secure the APC’s future and ensure victory at the polls.

“Together, the APC will secure the future and win again,” he said.
