Gov Idris Officiates at Wedding Fatiha Ceremonies for Kebbi Lawmaker, Aide’s Daughter

Birnin Kebbi, Nigeria — May 2, 2026(Series News Online)- Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, on Friday presided over two wedding fatiha ceremonies in Birnin Kebbi, in a show of solidarity with aides and lawmakers in the state.

The first ceremony was the marriage of Aisha Imrana Usman, daughter of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Religious Affairs, to Muhammad Bello.

The wedding was solemnized at the Sheikh Muhammad Abbas Jega Juma’at Mosque, Rafin Atiku, Birnin Kebbi, after the groom’s family paid N200,000 as dowry.
Governor Idris witnessed the union and joined other dignitaries, family members, and well-wishers at the mosque.

He later attended the wedding fatiha of Hon. Faruku Abubakar Maisudan, the member representing Suru Constituency and Chairman of the House Committee on Justice and Judiciary.

Hon. Maisudan married Dr. Aisha Abubakar Musa Kigera at the Abubakar Sadik Juma’at Mosque, Gesse Phase II, Birnin Kebbi, where a dowry of N300,000 was paid.

Governor Idris served as the Wali, guardian, to the groom, Hon. Maisudan.

Musa Muhammad Dikko, the Kisante Borgu and Magajin Garin New Bussa, stood as the Wali for the bride.
Sheikh Aliyu Ladda Bunza conducted the spiritual sessions and closing supplications, Dua, for both unions.

The cleric prayed for Allah’s blessings, peace, and fruitfulness in the new homes.
Governor Idris congratulated the couples and their families, charging them to uphold Islamic values in their marriages.

“I urge you to build your marriages on the foundations of patience, mutual respect, and the teachings of Islam,” the governor said.
The ceremonies were attended by government officials, lawmakers, traditional leaders, and residents of Birnin Kebbi.
