Dr. Bello Maigari has publicly accepted the All Progressives Congress, APC, consensus arrangement that produced Dr. Jamilu Ishiyaku Gwamna as the party’s governorship candidate for the 2027 elections in Gombe State.
In an official statement, Dr. Maigari said he received the decision with a strong sense of duty, gratitude, and commitment to the party’s unity and progress.
“The consensus emerged after wide-ranging consultations among party leaders and stakeholders in Gombe State, in collaboration with Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya,” he stated.
Dr. Maigari declared his complete alignment with the outcome, describing it as a demonstration of the APC’s internal democracy, dialogue, and collective judgment.
He commended the APC leadership in Gombe State for fostering unity, stability, and cohesion within the party. “Consensus remains a vital democratic mechanism for resolving differences and strengthening the party ahead of elections,” he said.
The former aspirant urged his supporters and political associates across the state to mobilize behind Dr. Gwamna and all APC candidates in the forthcoming polls.
“Our strength lies in our unity, and our success depends on our ability to work together with a shared vision,” Dr. Maigari emphasized.
He also appealed to other aspirants who may be dissatisfied with the decision to accept it in good faith. “The collective interest of the party must take precedence over personal ambition,” he noted.
Dr. Maigari reaffirmed his loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and pledged his commitment to advancing the APC’s progressive agenda at both the state and national levels.
He further called on party members to remain united, focused, and determined as they work toward victory in the 2027 elections and the delivery of good governance and sustainable development in Gombe State.
