Kebbi Council Chiefs Laud Gov Idris for Peaceful Eid Celebration

The Kebbi Council of Chiefs has commended Governor Nasir Idris for the improved security situation and peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebrations across the state. The Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Samaila Muhammad-Mera, Vice Chairman of the Council of Chiefs, made the commendation during a courtesy visit to the governor on Saturday in Birnin Kebbi.
"We are here today to offer our heartfelt appreciation and to report that we observed a hitch-free Eid-el-Fitr with no security challenges across the state," Muhammad-Mera said. "The peaceful Ramadan and Eid-el-Fitr are a testament to the hard work and leadership of Gov. Nasir Idris and his administration."

The emir thanked the governor for his unwavering support to the traditional institution and his prompt response to security concerns. "The security situation has drastically improved in areas that once faced challenges," he said, praying for the governor's continued guidance and wisdom.
Governor Idris, represented by his deputy, Sen. Umar Abubakar-Tafida, thanked the traditional rulers for their visit and acknowledged their role in sustaining peace. "We thank Allah for His infinite mercy, as we were able to witness the successful completion of Ramadan and the peaceful celebration of Eid-el-Fitr," he said.

Idris urged the traditional rulers to sustain their support for the state government, particularly in community policing and intelligence sharing. "We urge you to continue supporting the state's efforts, particularly in community policing and the sharing of intelligence," he said, stressing the need for unity among traditional leaders.
