Groups Pledge Solidarity with Gov Idris on Eid-el-Fitr

Various groups, unions, and community leaders have reaffirmed their support for Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, during the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations. The groups, which include labour unions, religious bodies, and community associations, paid a traditional Sallah visit to the Governor at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi on Saturday.
Deputy Governor, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida, received the delegations on behalf of Governor Idris, conveying his goodwill message and appreciation for the support and prayers from the people of Kebbi State. "The Governor regrets his inability to personally attend the gathering due to unforeseen circumstances, but expresses deep appreciation for the overwhelming support, prayers, loyalty, and constructive advice consistently offered by the people of the state," Tafida said.
The Governor's message reaffirmed his administration's commitment to the welfare, peace, unity, and development of Kebbi State. Idris urged the people to continue supporting government programmes and policies aimed at improving the lives of citizens and to uphold the lessons of Ramadan by promoting kindness, charity, and compassion.
The various groups praised Governor Idris for his people-oriented leadership, prompt payment of salaries, empowerment programmes, improved security, and visible developmental projects across the state. Among those who spoke were the State Chief Judge, Justice Umar Abubakar, the Deputy Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Hon. Muhammad Samaila Bagudo, and Comrade Murtala Usman, representing labour leaders.
The occasion included the distribution of Sallah cash gifts to persons with disabilities, showcasing the administration's commitment to inclusiveness and support for vulnerable members of society.
