The Kebbi State Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General, Dr. Junaidu Bello-Mashal, has distributed N3 million to over 80 households in Gwandangwaji Quarters Extension, Birnin Kebbi Local Government Area, as part of his Ramadan outreach initiative.

The gesture, aimed at cushioning the effects of prevailing economic challenges on families within his immediate community, is in line with the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan, which emphasizes charity, compassion, and support for the less privileged.

"Ramadan is a month of sacrifice, reflection, and generosity. It is our responsibility as leaders and members of the community to extend support to those in need and ensure that they observe the fast with ease and dignity," Bello-Mashal said.

The initiative targeted vulnerable households and low-income earners, aiming to assist them in meeting basic needs during the fasting period. Bello-Mashal urged other well-meaning individuals and public office holders to imbibe the culture of giving, especially during the sacred month, to promote unity and social cohesion.

Abubakar Umar, speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, commended the commissioner for the timely intervention, describing the gesture as thoughtful and impactful.

"The gesture is a demonstration of responsive and people-oriented leadership. We pray for divine reward and continued success for Bello-Mashal in his public service," Umar said.

Some beneficiaries expressed gratitude, describing the intervention as a welcome relief. "This is a thoughtful gesture that will go a long way in alleviating hardship among our families," one beneficiary said.
