CHRISTIAN COMMUNITIES RECEIVE 1,200 BAGS OF RICE FROM ASIWAJU FOR ALL, FIRST LADY IN KEBBI

Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, Nigeria — January 3, 2026(Series news online)

The Asiwaju for All Group, in collaboration with First Lady Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, has distributed 1,200 bags of 25kg rice to vulnerable Christian communities across Kebbi State.

The donation, equivalent to one trailer-load of rice, was presented at Saint Luke Anglican Church in Birnin Kebbi on Saturday. Muhammad Umar, Zamfara State Chairman of Asiwaju for All, stated that the items were part of a humanitarian initiative led by Dr. Aminu Sani-Jaji, National Leader of Asiwaju for All, and spearheaded by the First Lady.

"This support is timely and aimed at cushioning the hardship faced by the vulnerable," Umar said. "We are grateful to the First Lady for this annual gesture, especially to our Christian brothers and sisters."

The rice will be delivered to Christian communities in Yauri and Ngaski Local Government Areas for distribution to the most vulnerable persons.

Rev. Ibrahim Magaji, representing the beneficiaries, expressed appreciation to the First Lady for the intervention. "We are happy with the gesture and sincerely thank the First Lady," he said. "We assure her that the items will be distributed judiciously and strictly for the purpose they are meant to serve, alleviating hardship among the vulnerable."

Mr. Tanko Sulaiman, National Organising Secretary of the Northern Nigeria Christian Progressive Forum, acknowledged the late arrival of the donation but expressed confidence in the leadership overseeing the distribution.

"Although the items arrived after the Christmas and New Year celebrations, we are confident that the leadership will ensure the items reach the intended beneficiaries," Sulaiman said.
