"100 Youths Benefit from Kebbi Govt's Empowerment Programme with Skills, Starter Packs"

The Kebbi State government has empowered 100 unemployed youths with skills training and starter packs to enable them to become self-reliant and employers of labour. The training, tagged "Instruction and Training Plan for Automobile Air-conditioning System (Installation, Repairs and Maintenance)," was organized in collaboration with Eurowells Limited and the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB).

Representing Governor Nasir Idris, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida, distributed the starter packs to the beneficiaries in Birnin Kebbi. Bala-Tafida reaffirmed the government's commitment to continuous youth empowerment, saying, "My administration will continue to provide veritable platforms for youths to be gainfully employed."

The Director of Services at Eurowells Limited, Mr. Jercy Kpogho-Numa, said the initiative aimed to equip Nigerian youths with the necessary competencies and tools to excel in the industry. He expressed gratitude to the NCDMB for providing funding and resources for the training.

"We are thrilled by the dedication and focus shown by the Kebbi participants throughout the programme," Kpogho-Numa said. He commended the state government and the training facilitators for their support.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Enlightenment and Orientation, Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar- Jombali, said the 12-day training program was designed to prepare the beneficiaries to be self-reliant and potential employers of labor. "This initiative aligns with the state government's drive to reduce the growing number of unemployed youths in the state," he added.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Malam Yahaya Sarki, commended Abubakar-Jombali for the initiative, saying it would help reduce unemployment in the state. A member of the State House of Assembly, Alhaji Faruk Abubakar, also praised the organizers, saying the training would help curb idleness and criminal tendencies.

The NCDMB provided the starter packs, which included various equipment and tools to enable the beneficiaries to start their own businesses.
