Reflecting on his personal and professional relationship with Buhari, Governor Bala described him as "a patriotic elder statesman, firm in his convictions, calm in demeanor, and unwavering in his commitment to national unity and good governance." He praised the late president's efforts in stabilizing Nigeria and promoting democratic values, especially in challenging times.

"His humble lifestyle, and personal discipline remain enduring examples for leaders at all levels," he added. Governor Bala emphasized that Bauchi State holds a unique place in Buhari's political journey and that his memory would remain evergreen in the hearts of Bauchi people.

The Governor described Buhari's passing as not only a loss to his immediate family and the people of Katsina State but also a monumental loss to the nation and the African continent. "As we mourn, we also celebrate the life of an extraordinary Nigerian whose footsteps will continue to guide our nation's pursuit of justice, equity, and unity," he said.

Governor Bala extended his condolences to Buhari's family, the Government and people of Katsina State, the National Council of State, the Nigerian Armed Forces, and all Nigerians both at home and abroad.
