"Dogara's Appointment: APC Stakeholders See Hope for Nigeria's Economic Recovery"

The All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders and stakeholders from Dass, Tafawa Balewa, and Bogoro Federal Constituency have hailed the appointment of Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, former Speaker of the 8th National Assembly, as Chairman of the Board of the National Credit Guarantee Company Limited (NCGC) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a statement signed by the APC State Legal Adviser, Rabiu Garba, and 19 other stakeholders, the group welcomed Dogara's appointment as a strategic move that places "the right person in the right position." "We commend President Tinubu for making a judicious and praiseworthy choice. Dogara's leadership at NCGC is expected to bring credibility, strategic direction, and meaningful development to the organization and the country," the statement read.

The stakeholders lauded Dogara's remarkable leadership qualities, discipline, humility, integrity, and fear of God. "He embodies a beacon of hope and courage," they added. They also highlighted Dogara's achievements as Speaker of the 8th Assembly, including the passage of over 300 bills, more than 1,000 resolutions, and numerous public petitions.

The stakeholders noted that Dogara's appointment reflects President Tinubu's commitment to fairness, regional balance, and merit-based appointments. "This action addresses the concerns raised regarding Northern representation in key federal positions. It's a testament to President Tinubu's responsiveness to constructive feedback and his determination to act in the national interest," they said.

The APC leaders emphasized that Dogara's vast experience will fortify the NCGC's role in reducing lending risks and improving access to credit for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), manufacturers, and consumers.

The stakeholders pledged their continued support and prayers for President Tinubu, describing him as a "responsive President" who prioritizes equity and national unity. "This appointment is a clear indication of President Tinubu's responsiveness to the people's aspirations. His ability to select competent individuals for critical roles exemplifies effective leadership," the statement added.

The APC leaders expressed hope that Dogara's leadership would help unite the country, enhance governance, and contribute meaningfully to Nigeria's economic recovery.
