"IGP's Wife Set to Commission POWA Model School in Bauchi"

The wife of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mrs. Elizabeth Kayode Egbetokun, has announced that she will be commissioning a model secondary school constructed by the Police Officers' Wives Association (POWA) in Sum village, Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State. Mrs. Elizabeth Kayode Egbetokun, who is the National Chairperson of POWA, made the announcement during her official visit to Bauchi State.

According to Mrs. Egbetokun, education is one of the core mantra programs of POWA, which includes education, health, and empowerment. She stated that the model secondary school, which was built in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Bauchi, will benefit the entire community, not just children of POWA members.

"The school will benefit the entire state and even the neighboring states of Bauchi," she said. "It is a boarding institution, and we are excited to bring this opportunity to the people of Bauchi State." Mrs. Egbetokun revealed that exactly one year ago, POWA performed the groundbreaking ceremony of the school, and today, they have returned to commission the same school.

The commissioning ceremony, which is expected to hold on Thursday, promises to be a grand affair, with pomp and pageantry. The POWA National Chairperson expressed her delight in finally commissioning the school, which she believes will be a game-changer for the community.
