Kano Pilgrims' 2025 Hajj Visa Processing Progresses

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced significant developments for the 2025 Hajj exercise. Director-General Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa revealed these updates upon resuming office after returning from the Holy Land.

A key highlight is the acquisition of a two-storey building located in Shahri Mansur, very close to the Haram in Makkah. This strategic location will accommodate approximately 3,205 pilgrims, expected to enhance their experience. According to Alhaji Danbappa, "The Board has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a reputable catering company to ensure consistent and timely provision of meals to pilgrims throughout their stay."

The Board has fulfilled all financial obligations through the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON). Currently, two-thirds of the visas are being processed, with the remaining ones expected to be completed shortly. Alhaji Danbappa urged intending pilgrims to actively participate in the Hajj Induction Course (BITA) and complete the mandatory medical check-up in preparation for their journey.

To facilitate the BITA course, the Board has introduced a radio Hajj enlightenment program. This allows pilgrims to benefit from the training while observing Ramadan. The Kano State Government reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare and comfort of all pilgrims from the state. With 3,155 intending pilgrims registered for the 2025 Hajj, the Board is working tirelessly to ensure a smooth and successful experience.

"The Board has fulfilled all financial obligations through NAHCON," Alhaji Danbappa said, emphasizing the government's dedication to the pilgrims' welfare. He further emphasized the importance of the BITA course and medical check-up, stating, "The Board urges all intending pilgrims to actively participate in the Hajj Induction Course and complete the mandatory medical check-up."
