According to CP Sani, "the Command has made adequate security arrangements to guarantee a hitch-free celebrations in the state." He called on the good people of the state to use the period of celebrations for sober reflection and to offer prayers for the peace and progress of the state and the nation at large.
CP Sani Bello also directed all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Tactical Commanders to ensure visibility policing and aggressive patrols in their respective areas of responsibilities. "They have been directed to dominate the state with overt and covert security deployments in order to safeguard the lives and properties of the peace-loving people of Kebbi State," he said.
The CP warned troublemakers with evil intentions to disturb the celebrations to stay away from the state or face the full wrath of the law. "The Command will not hesitate to deal decisively with any person or group of persons who attempt to disrupt the peace and tranquility of the state," he said.
CSP Nafiu Abubakar, Police Public Relations Officer, signed the statement on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command.
