"Over N100m Raised at FOMWAN Fundraiser, Thanks to Kebbi First Lady's Generosity"

Kebbi State's First Lady, Hajiya Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris, led the pack of donors at the Federation of Muslim Women Associations (FOMWAN) fund raising event, which aimed to support the organization's development programs. The event, which took place recently, saw an impressive turnout of donors, with over N100 million raised for educational development and Da'wah activities.

Hajiya Zainab Nasare donated N10 million on behalf of herself and her family, while the Kebbi State Government, under Governor Nasir Idris, contributed N50 million through the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida. Other notable donors included Alhaji Faruk Aliyu Enabo, Executive Chairman of the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, who donated N8.5 million, and Alhaji Bello Dallatun Ka'oje, Member of the House of Representatives, who made a personal donation of N10 million and N4.5 million on behalf of his associates.

In addition to cash donations, Alhaji Bello Dallatu also donated a vehicle and pledged to install solar power at the Nursery and Primary school of the Association. Similarly, Alhaji Faruk Enabo donated a vehicle and pledged to construct two blocks of classrooms for the Association.

Other major donors included the Commissioner for Finance, Alhaji Abubakar Chika, who donated N3 million and a vehicle, as well as announced a donation of N5 million on behalf of other Commissioners. The Wife of the Deputy Governor, Hajiya Aisha Tafida, donated N1 million, while the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Dr. Halima Muhammad Bande, contributed N300,000.

In her remarks, the Wife of the Governor expressed gratitude to her husband's administration for its continued support to educational progress in the state. She also thanked all donors to the fund raising, urging well-to-do individuals to be active participants in the development of the education sector.

The First Lady commended members of FOMWAN for their resilience in instilling religious virtues in the society and promoting the quest for knowledge among students.
