Kebbi Education Commissioner Tours Schools, Evaluates Progress of Governor's Projects

In a bid to assess the progress of educational projects in Kebbi State, the Honorable Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Hajiya Halima Bande, paid an inspection visit to several secondary schools in Birnin Kebara on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.

 The visit aimed to evaluate the execution of projects initiated by Governor Dr. Nasir Idris, also known as Kauran Gwandu, which include both completed and ongoing initiatives to improve the education sector in the state.

During the visit, the Commissioner toured Army Day Secondary School, Abdullahi Fodio Islamic Centre, and Government Girls Secondary School Tudun Wada, all located in Birnin Kebbi. She observed the ongoing construction and renovation works sponsored by the Kebbi State Government and the AGILE project, a collaborative initiative between the state government and international partners.

Hajiya Halima Bande emphasized that her visit was to personally verify the execution of these projects and to assure the public that Governor Nasir Idris' efforts are not just on paper but are being actively carried out in reality. "I am here to assess the progress of our educational projects and ensure that they are meeting the desired standards," she said.

Furthermore, the Commissioner engaged with students and teachers, assessing the learning environment and the quality of education being delivered in these schools. 

The visit was also attended by top officials from the Ministry for Basic and Secondary Education, including Abubarkar Magaji Nayalwa (Permanent Secretary), Alhaji Abu Jabbo (Director of Quality Assurance), Hajia Rakiya Shehu (AGILE Office), and Alhaji Aliyu Haido (Project Coordinator, Kebbi AGILE).
