Honorable Member Barrister Faruku Abubakar Maisudan of Suru Constituency has empowered 800 constituents in Suru Local Government, with the support of Kebbi State First Lady, Hajiya Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu. The initiative, which took place at the Suru Local Government headquarters, aimed to promote self-reliance and independence among the beneficiaries.
Hon. Maisudan expressed his gratitude to Allah and thanked Her Excellency for her kind gesture. "This initiative will go a long way in alleviating the economic challenges faced by my constituents," he said. The empowerment program included the distribution of essential items such as water pump engines, fertilizers, school bags, exercise books, and cash.
Hajiya Zainab commended Hon. Maisudan's efforts, stating that the event "serves as a testament to the collective efforts of the State Government and Honorable Member's dedication to empowering their people and enhancing their socio-economic well-being."
The event was attended by prominent personalities, including Council Chairman Hon. Muhammed Lawal, Special Adviser to the Governor on Revenue Generation Alh Muhammad Arzika Danatto Dakingari, and Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Dr. Halima Bande.
The occasion also featured the distribution of N20,000 cash donations to 300 women, the commissioning of a water project, and the distribution of books and school bags. Lamidon Dakingari bestowed the title of INNAWURON DAKINGARI and INNADUROBE OF SURU LOCAL GOVERNMENT on Her Excellency for her contribution to the well-being of the people and her achievements towards girls' education.
