Birnin Kebbi Hosts High-Society Wedding, Draws Top Government Officials

A high-profile wedding ceremony took place in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, as Sokoto State Governor, Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu, Senator Muhammadu Adamu Aliero, and Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, attended the wedding of Zainab Faruku Yaro Enabo, daughter of Chairman of Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Faruku Yaro Enabo.

The wedding ceremony, which was held at the Enabo's residence in NEPA GRA, Birnin Kebbi, witnessed a massive turnout of guests, including associates, friends, and other invited dignitaries. The roads leading to the bride's house and surrounding streets were congested due to heavy traffic, as guests struggled to get to the venue.

Also in attendance was the former Governor of defunct Sokoto State, Dr. Yahyah Abdulkareem, who served as the groom's father at the Nikkah. Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, hosted the guests and gave out the bride with a dowry of N200,000.

Speaking to newsmen, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu described the bride, Zainab Faruku Yaro Enabo, as "a disciplined and gentle lady" and urged the new couple to live harmoniously. The Islamic wedding ceremony was conducted by Sheikh Muhammad Wala, Chief of Wala Jumu'ah Mosque, and witnessed by Izala leader, Sheikh Bala Lau, among others
