Nyass Week: Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi Foundation Brings Free Medical Care to Bauchi Citizens"

The Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi Foundation, in collaboration with the Almuhibba Foundation and Makka Eye Hospital, has organized a one-day free medical and surgical outreach in Bauchi. The event, which took place at the Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi Islamic Centre, provided critical healthcare services to over 1,000 underserved citizens.

According to Sayyadi Ahmad Tijjani Sheikh Dahiru, the deputy chairman of the foundation, the outreach was a meaningful way to mark the 125th Maulud anniversary of renowned Global Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Ibrahim Nyass. "The free medical and surgical outreach serves as a birthday gift to the community, providing solace and relief to those in need," he said.

The foundation's preference for supporting healthcare initiatives and humanitarian activities is evident in its efforts to assist the less privileged, particularly in the area of Islamic education. Sayyadi Sheikh Dahiru expressed his joy at bringing smiles to individuals who cannot afford medical treatment and called on affluent members of society to support vulnerable populations.

The medical outreach addressed a wide range of medical conditions, including fibroids, appendicitis, goitre, lumps, hernia, hydrocele, and eye-related diseases. A team of medical specialists conducted surgeries, highlighting the foundation's commitment to enhancing healthcare delivery in Bauchi State and beyond.

Barrister Aminu Balarabe Isa noted that the event was part of the "Makon Shehu" program, which translates to "Sheikh's Week." This initiative brings together scholars from various academic backgrounds to present scholarly papers. "We decided to choose today, January 22, 2025, to render free medical outreach to our people who came from various states to receive medical assistance," Barrister Isa said.

Beneficiaries of the program expressed heartfelt gratitude for the life-changing initiative and commended the foundation's efforts to improve healthcare accessibility. They prayed for continued blessings for the founder, underscoring the positive impact of the Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi Foundation's humanitarian efforts.
