Rector Urges Nigerians to Embrace Love, Kindness During Christmas Season"

The Rector of Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa, Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, has called on Nigerians to spread love and pursue harmonious living for a better society. In a Christmas Carol and Service of seven lessons held at the polytechnic, Oluseye emphasized the importance of reflecting on the lessons of Christmas, which preach God's love and kindness to humanity.

Oluseye, who read the sixth lesson from the book of Matthew 2 vs 1-2, said, "Christmas symbolizes love, joy, peace and progress, and this is what each of us must internalize for the progress of our society." He added that beyond the Christmas season, Nigerians must continue to show love, support humanity, and pursue harmonious living, which is vital to fostering progress and rapid development of any society.

The Rector's message was echoed by the acting Chairman of the Governing Council of the polytechnic, Evangelist Kehinde Akinsoji, who praised the staff for their dedication and commitment to promoting academic excellence. Akinsoji pledged that the Governing Council would ensure the continuous growth of the polytechnic and address some of the staff's concerns in the new year.

The Lord Bishop of Yewa Diocese, Rev. Michael Oluwarohumbi, also ministered at the event, urging Nigerians to reflect on their lives and determine to forsake their sins and embrace salvation. He emphasized that the nation's handlers must also embrace Godliness, shun corruption, and provide solutions to socio-economic challenges.
