Minister of Budget and Economic Planning Participates in Bankers' Committee Retreat

The Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, recently participated in a ministerial panel discussion at the Bankers' Committee Retreat, held on Friday, 6th December 2024. The theme of the discussion was "Government Economic Growth and National Development Aspirations, Priorities, and Policies."

Senator Bagudu provided valuable insights into the theme, drawing from his wealth of experience in economic planning and budgeting. He was joined by other distinguished panelists, including the Minister of Trade and Investment, Dr. Olajumoke Oduwole; former Statistician-General of the Federation, Dr. Yemi Kale, who moderated the session; and the Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, Prof. Taiwo Oyedele.

The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, was represented by a director from the ministry. The retreat provided a platform for stakeholders to discuss and explore strategies for promoting economic growth and national development. Senator Bagudu's participation in the retreat underscores his commitment to driving economic growth and development in Nigeria.
