The Maigari of Lokoja and Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Traditional Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi IV, has called on Christian and Muslim communities in the state to continue living in harmony with one another. This appeal was made in a statement personally signed by the Maigari on Tuesday and made available to newsmen in Lokoja.

The Maigari praised the unity and peaceful coexistence between Christian and Muslim communities in the Lokoja Emirate Council, noting that both groups embody Lokoja's reputation as the "home of peace and Harmony." He emphasized the importance of continued cooperation between Christians and Muslims, particularly during the festive season.

Maigari encouraged Christians to engage in fervent prayers for divine intervention, given the current challenges facing the country, including economic hardship. He also reminded Christian brothers to remember the true spirit of Christmas, which includes giving, kindness, and compassion.

The Maigari's call for peaceful coexistence is a timely reminder of the importance of unity and harmony among people of different faiths. His message is particularly relevant during the Christmas season, which is a time for joy, giving, and reflection.
