The Kebbi State Police Command, led by Commissioner of Police Bello M. Sani, has issued a warning to commercial motorcyclists (okada riders) in Birnin Kebbi Metropolis. The warning advises riders to be cautious when conveying passengers, especially at night, as some individuals may attempt to drug them with gifts or food.

This warning was contained in a statement issued by the command's Public Relations Officer, SP Nafiu Abubakar, and made available to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Monday. The statement quoted the commissioner of police, CP Bello Muhammad Sani, who appealed to okada riders to register their motorcycles to aid in combating motorcycle snatching.

Additionally, the command urges the public to be vigilant regarding highly flammable substances during the harmattan season. To prevent fires, the police commissioner warned against bush burning and encouraged residents to switch off electrical appliances when not in use. He emphasized that prevention is better than cure, hoping that the public will adhere to these guidelines.
