The Kebbi State Governor, His Excellency, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, has launched the disbursement of N70 million to 700 youths selected from the 21 Local Government Areas of the state. This initiative is part of the youth empowerment program aimed at equipping young individuals with the necessary resources to establish businesses and become self-sufficient
At the launch, which took place at the Presidential Lodge in Birnin Kebbi on Friday, Governor Idris, represented by his Deputy, Alhaji Umar Abubakar-Tafida, emphasized that each beneficiary would receive a grant of N100,000. The program is designed to benefit both males and females, promoting gender inclusivity and a sense of belonging.
Governor Nasir Idris urged the beneficiaries to utilize the grant judiciously, transforming their lives and positively impacting others. He also encouraged the youths and the entire people of Kebbi State to support the present administration's policies and programs.
The Kebbi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Nura Bala-Fingila, commended Governor Idris for initiating the program, describing it as a game-changer. He encouraged the beneficiaries to take advantage of the scheme to improve their livelihood and stressed the importance of rallying around the governor to support the administration's initiatives.

Beneficiaries, who spoke with Series News Online correspondents Aminu Garba and Umar Hassan, assured that they would utilize the funds effectively and expressed gratitude to Governor Nasir Idris for empowering youths in the state, boosting their small businesses, and promoting self-reliance.
