Kebbi State's First Lady, Hajiya Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris, has commissioned an Entrepreneurship Centre named after her in Kamba Town, Dandi Local Government Area. The centre, built by the Sulaiman Fana Foundation (SUFAF), aims to empower women and youth with various skills, promoting self-reliance and entrepreneurship.
While inaugurating the centre, Hajiya Zainab urged beneficiaries to utilize their acquired skills to support themselves, their families, and the larger society. She emphasized the importance of acquiring skills and engaging in small businesses to achieve self-reliance. The First Lady assured that her office will continue to support programs that improve the wellbeing of the people.
Hon. Sulaiman Abubakar Fana, founder of SUFAF and a state house of Assembly member representing Dandi, noted that the centre is one of many projects he has undertaken for his constituents to enjoy the benefits of democracy. The edifice comprises an entrepreneurship centre, a masjid, and an Islamic school for children and adults.
The event's highlight was the presentation of starter packs, cash, and bags of groundnuts, he/she goats, grinding machines, sawing machines, bakery machines, laptops, computers, and food items to beneficiaries. Dr. Mansir Isa, Chairman of Dandi Local Government Area, expressed gratitude to the First Lady for her kind gesture and prayed for the successful tenure of Governor Nasir Idris.
