The Kebbi State Government has announced that it will soon receive technical aid from the Indonesian Government to enhance quality milk and beef production in the state. This development was revealed by the Commissioner during a press conference on Friday in Birnin Kebbi.
According to the Commissioner, the Indonesian Government has recently trained Veterinary Doctors on Artificial Insemination and Embryo Transfer to achieve the set objective. Furthermore, the state will receive 500 out of the 1000 straws of semen allocated to the country for improved cattle breeds, designed to produce high-quality beef and milk.
To ensure the swift realization of the project, the Indonesian Ambassador to Nigeria, his wife, and a nine-man technical team will visit the state to facilitate demonstrations for livestock farmers on Artificial Insemination.
In addition, the Ministry has embarked on annual animal vaccination across the state to supply healthy meat and milk to the public, while also addressing farmers-herders clashes to promote a peaceful and prosperous society.
The Commissioner for Information and Culture, Ahmed Yakubu Birnin Kebbi, defended the governor's foreign trips, stating that the benefits derived from Governor Nasir Idris's visit to Indonesia demonstrate that his travels are in the best interest of the state and its people.
