In response to concerns raised by the People's Democratic Party (PDP), the Kebbi State Government has provided updates on its efforts to enhance teacher welfare and education in the state.
Governor Nasir Idris has implemented various initiatives to achieve this goal, including:
- Infrastructure Development: Construction of roads, healthcare facilities, and schools.
- Teacher Training and Employment: Engaging teachers in training programs and hiring 200 additional teachers.
- Mega Schools Project: Building modern schools across 21 Local Government Areas.
- Student Scholarships: Supporting students in Nigerian universities, other institutions, and abroad.
- Health Personnel Support: Approving requests from medical professionals and integrating casual workers into the state civil service.
The government encourages the PDP to verify facts and offer constructive criticism, rather than spreading misinformation. It appreciates the opposition's role in promoting accountability but emphasizes responsible engagement.
The Kebbi State Government reaffirms its dedication to transparency, accountability, and improving the lives of citizens, including teachers and students.
