Birnin Kebbi, Nigeria —June 7, 2026 (Series News Online)- The Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Birnin Kebbi Branch, also known as Equity Bar, will hold its 2026 Law Week on Monday, June 8, 2026, at the Presidential Banquet Hall, Birnin Kebbi, starting at 9:30 a.m.

The week-long event will be held under the theme, “Justice Beyond Algorithms: Navigating Law and Artificial Intelligence in Nigeria’s Evolving Justice System.”

Legal experts said the theme was timely as Nigeria’s courts and law practice increasingly engage with technology. Artificial intelligence is already being used globally for legal research, case prediction, and document automation.
“Justice Beyond Algorithms challenges legal practitioners to examine how AI can support, not replace, human judgment in our courts. Technology must enhance fairness, speed, and access to justice, while we safeguard ethics, privacy, and the rule of law,”.

The NBA Equity Bar noted that discussions during the Law Week would focus on the opportunities and risks of AI in adjudication, evidence, and legal practice.
“Our justice system is evolving with new technologies. This Law Week will enlighten lawyers, judges, and stakeholders on how to navigate AI responsibly so that it strengthens rather than undermines public confidence in the judiciary,” the branch added.
