PDP, Kebbi Governor's Office Disagree Over Foreign Trips

By Umar Faruk, Birnin Kebbi

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kebbi State has criticized Governor Nasir Idris's frequent foreign trips, labeling them "wasteful" and "fruitless."

However, Ahmed Idris, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, countered that the trips aim to attract foreign investment and promote state development.

According to Idris, the Governor's recent United Nations General Assembly trip to the United States seeks international partnerships for growth and development.

Idris highlighted the Governor's achievements, including advancements in mineral resources, agriculture, power supply, education, infrastructure, healthcare, and clean water.

The PDP's criticism did not deter the Governor's commitment to state development, Idris assured. No further comments were available from the PDP.
