Kebbi State Farmers Record Bumper Harvest in Rice Production

Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State - Farmers in Kebbi State have recorded a significant increase in rice production, with many reporting a bumper harvest in the current farming season.
According to reports from the Kebbi State Ministry of Agriculture, the state's rice farmers have produced over 2 million metric tons of rice, exceeding last year's production by over 30%.
The increase in production is attributed to the state government's efforts to provide farmers with improved seedlings, fertilizers, and irrigation facilities. Additionally, the government's agricultural extension services have provided valuable training and support to farmers, enabling them to adopt best practices and improve their yields.
"We are thrilled with the success of our farmers," said Alhaji Muhammadu Dandiga, Commissioner for Agriculture in Kebbi State. "Our administration is committed to supporting agriculture in the state, and we are pleased to see the positive impact of our efforts."
The bumper harvest is expected to boost food security in the state and provide a surplus for sale in other parts of the country.
