Gov. Mutfwang, Minister Works Discuss on FG intervention on road Infrastructure in plateau State

Plateau State Governor, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Works, Sen. Engr. Nweze David Umahi, on September 18, 2024, to discuss the Federal Government's intervention on road infrastructure in the state . The meeting aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, which emphasizes effective synergy between national and sub-national governments.

As the newly elected governor, Caleb Mutfwang has outlined his vision for Plateau State, prioritizing peace, security, and economic development . His administration plans to revive and equip the state security outfit, "Operation Rainbow," and collaborate with stakeholders to resettle internally displaced persons.

In terms of economic development, the governor aims to make Plateau State the economic and commercial hub of Northern Nigeria, leveraging its natural endowments and creating a friendly business environment  Key areas of focus include:

Agriculture: Supporting small farmers, promoting agricultural products, and reinvigorating underperforming institutions.

  Tourism: Developing the sector through public-private partnerships to boost the economy. Mining and Mineral Development: Reorganizing the mining sector to make it safer and more profitable.Infrastructure  Prioritizing road construction, power supply, and water provision.


By engaging with the Federal Government, Governor Mutfwang seeks to accelerate the realization of these goals and bring about meaningful change to Plateau State
