HackJos 2025: WAKF Fellows Sweep Top Prizes, Showcase Northern Nigeria's Tech Potential

The Bala Wunti Tech Fellows have made a significant impact at HackJos 2025, Northern Nigeria's leading technology innovation challenge, winning three of the top four positions. The fellows, supported by the Bauchi-based charity organisation, Wunti Al-Khair Foundation (WAKF), presented innovative solutions targeting financial inclusion, tax compliance, logistics, and agricultural commerce.

The winning projects include Agriault, an e-commerce and financial-inclusion platform for farmers and agro-producers; Haraj, a tax compliance and productivity tool targeting businesses and MSMEs; and Smart Digital Waybill Platform, a logistics and last-mile delivery solution aimed at improving goods movement across the region.

"The performance of our Fellows at HackJos 2025 validates our belief that empowering young people with technical skills and a problem-solving mindset is the fastest route to sustainable economic development," said Ango Mustapha, Director of Programmes at WAKF. "The featured innovations are scalable, practical solutions capable of strengthening the economic resilience and growth of Northern Nigeria's MSME ecosystem."
