In a remarkable display of generosity, Faruq Aliyu Yaro Enabo, a prominent humanitarian figure in Kebbi State, has handed out N250 million in cash, 50 brand-new cars, 100 motorcycles, and 5,000 bags of rice to residents of Marafa Ward in Birnin Kebbi. This initiative aims to foster entrepreneurship, self-sufficiency, and improved livelihoods among the beneficiaries.
At a ceremony marking the distribution, Governor Nasir Idris lauded Enabo's extraordinary philanthropy, encouraging public officials, politicians, and lawmakers to follow suit in supporting their communities. "Today is a joyous occasion for us, our families, and friends," the Governor said, praising Enabo's efforts as unprecedented. He also announced plans to launch a comprehensive empowerment program benefiting all communities across Kebbi State.
The Governor emphasized that uplifting humanity is a fundamental aspect of democratic governance, closely tied to the implementation of impactful projects. Enabo, who heads the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, revealed that a total of 10,013 individuals from diverse backgrounds in Marafa Ward would benefit from the initiative designed to enhance their quality of life.
Senator Atiku Bagudu, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, advised the beneficiaries to utilize the resources wisely, suggesting they use the motorcycles for commercial purposes to potentially acquire trucks in the future. "Make the most of these gifts to improve your lives and contribute to the well-being of others," he urged.
The Governor's wives, Hajiya Nafisa Nasiru Idris and Hajiya Zainab Nasare Nasiru Idris, also contributed to the empowerment efforts by donating N10 million and distributing women's clothing and financial aid to various women's groups.
