Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State - The Ngaski community has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Sen. Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, for facilitating the rehabilitation of the 76.5-kilometre Malando-Ngaski-Wara-Auna Road. This crucial link between Kebbi and Niger states has long been a vital corridor between Northern and Southern Nigeria.
Hon. Mamuda Mohammad-Warra, former Commissioner for Lands and Housing in Kebbi State, praised Sen. Bagudu's efforts. "The Malando-Ngaski-Wara-Auna road is finally taking shape under Sen. Bagudu's leadership," he said. "His inclusive approach to development is a testament to his visionary and selfless leadership." Mohammad-Warra also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for addressing the state's infrastructure challenges. "The economic fortunes of Northern Nigeria cannot improve with dilapidated roads," he noted.
Hon. Abdullahi Buhari-Warra, former Chairman of Ngaski Local Government Area, described the ongoing roadwork as a significant infrastructure achievement. "This road, once a symbol of neglect, is now a beacon of economic revival," he said. The contractor, Epsilon Sky Global, has made notable progress, clearing over 55 kilometers and laying asphalt. The road's rehabilitation has reduced travel time by over 50% and decreased accidents and vehicle breakdowns.
"We commend the contractor for his professionalism and speed," Buhari-Warra added.
Motorists and residents echoed the leaders' sentiments, attributing the progress to Sen. Bagudu's synergy with federal authorities. "As the road nears completion, we are filled with gratitude and prayers for the leaders driving such progress," a group of drivers said.
Engr. Hussaini Abubakar, Project Manager at Epsilon Sky Global, assured stakeholders of the company's commitment to delivering quality work within schedule. "We've established a modern project yard with advanced machinery and a skilled workforce to ensure timely execution," he said. Abubakar acknowledged the leadership of President Tinubu, Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi, Minister David Umahi of Works, and Minister Bagudu for their collaborative efforts. "We remain fully committed to the contractual terms and to delivering excellence," he added.
